Mtv Wrap Up Interviews Stylo G

After moving to the UK, Jamaican-bred Stylo G used his roots and heritage to the fullest to develop his very own sound in the underground scene – the result, as we all know, was a successful one. After recently signing to 3Beat records and receiving a great buzz over his track ‘Call Mi a Yardie’, the lyricist is ready to reveal what’s next. The Wrap Up’s Jenna Simmons caught up with Stylo G to discuss all things music…


Usain Bolt Calls Out Stylo G

Stylo recently received public acclaim and support a mist London’s 2012 Olympic celebrations from fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt.During Puma’s Olympic spirited celebration shows from “Puma Yard” in Brick Lane, Bolt requested Stylo on stage with him to perform some of his favorite Stylo G hits. Stylo To Takeover The 1Xtra Airwaves On “Xtra Talent”

The BBC have now launched 1Xtra’s brand new 10pm specialist shows from Sunday-Friday. These new shows are four hours long, with the final hour, from 1am-2am, being a new feature named “Xtra Talent”.

Xtra Talent sees the BBC 1xtra DJs handing over the reigns to the hottest talent in their genres for the final hour of the show. Stylo G will take up a one month residency in the final hour of the show all through December and show us what is hot in his world by presenting and playing the music he chooses, make sure your locked in!!!

Stylo G’s Feature Mixtape

Before the end of the year an exclusive mixtape will finally be ready for release containing the hottest features Stylo’s been working on in the lab over the last few months. With an array of mainstream and underground stars, the CD is set to raise the bar in the world of cross over collaborations. With artists like Gyptian, Misha B, Chip (munk), Wretch 32, Mz Bratt, Kano all making appearances (to name just a few) Stylo will no doubt be launching into 2013 with a BANG!
